Esquina Carlos Gardel
Tango and pastry. Cuts and fillet, quebradas and good wine. At the Corner Carlos Gardel, suburb in its tourist version is breathed. Porteños and visitors alternate themselves in their tables.
History:
In the heart of the district Abasto, in the corner that takes its name and where is located the only statue of the city that remembers him, every day opens its doors Esquina Carlos Gardel, offering an unpublished spectacle of tango of dinner-show, of highest quality and refinement.
Built in the same lot of the old Hotel/Restaurant Chanta Cuatro, those old walls erected in 1893, that were witnesses of the adolescence of the Morocho del Abasto, today appear again sheltering in its interior a magical space designed with the luxury, refinement, sophistication and glamour of the thirties and rescuing in each minimum one detail the opulence of the time that marked to the entrance and reign of the tango in the most select circles of the society.
Esquina Carlos Gardel offers excellent kitchen with a la carte menu. We recommended tasting loin Chanta Cuatro (loin in long baking with vegetables and a mound of rice), Salmon Canyengue Style (salmon grille with Provencal potatoes, asparagus and fumet sauce to the lemon), Chicken to the Luziardo (supreme in frying pan, backed sauce of oranges and soybean with purée of sweet potatoes and almonds).
In addition, exquisitely decorated scope, unfolds technological of last generation and an artistic proposal of highest level. The show with a length of 90 minutes and 22 people (among musicians, dancers and singers) in scene. The public who chooses us are artists, industrialists, tourists and tango affectionate.
Each detail of the hall, scenery finely recreating an imaginary theater/night club of the Thirties, is designed to transport us to a lasting historical experience that begins at the same moment in which we arrived at the door and receive us the statue of our dear Carlitos Gardel.
